My Story

I am fundraising for Thomas's foundation because every child deserves an enriching education.

Thomas’s Foundation funds programmes in the fields of art, drama, music, sport, outdoor learning and academic support.

The children the programmes support have limited access to out of school or outdoor activities

The children we support have little exposure to art, dance, drama or music

The overwhelming majority of children with whom we work speak English as a second language

Literacy rates in London are declining. Disadvantaged children are less likely to have books of their own or to read with their parents. Once they fall behind it becomes difficult to catch up, which impacts their overall learning. There is a direct link between low literacy levels and unemployment.
